Come and hear Lyn talk about her own journey to becoming an effective leader!

About the speaker:

Lyn Andary – IT Delivery Manager @ Challenger

Passionate, Determined, Empathetic and People orientated. These are but a few words that describe Lyn Andary who is an IT Director with over 20 years of experience in the Telecommunications and Finance Industries. In her current role, Lyn is accountable for the digitalisation and customer programs of work, and is an Agile champion within the organisation. Lyn advocates for Agile methodologies because they put people first and bring the IT and business areas together to deliver as one team.

Lyn is a motivated and considered leader who is straightforward and leads with empathy and integrity to enable teams to succeed. Key tenants in her style are to be, and promote kindness, courage and flexibility in her approach, while focusing on excellence in her delivery outcomes. As an advocate for diversity she has built a cultural and gender diverse team, which in turn delivers diversity in thinking which Lyn strongly encourages. Having strong empathy with her IT and business colleagues has helped her find the balance needed to be a successful leader. Lyn understands the value of open feedback which has not only helped her grow her career to the successful place it is today, but also makes her a valuable mentor and respected leader people turn to for advice.

TALK 2: Innovation belongs to everyone!
—————————————————————————————————-

Once we bring innovation into the picture, some contradictory feelings are to be expected. Excitement, fear of change, attraction, resistance and many more.

In fact, do you know about Emotional Ambivalence? This is the psychological experience of conflict that influences your approach to the innovation cycle. Innovation comes with fears which we need to acknowledge and overcome. Come and join Nelly to explore ways to overcome the barriers and suggested solutions to get one step closer to innovation!

About the speaker:

Nelly Sattari – Technical Lead @ Challenger

Nelly Sattari loves problem-solving and is passionate about driving minds to engage with technology. She is a computer engineer, Tech lead developer, and Microsoft Azure MVP (Most Valuable Professional) based in Sydney, Australia and has spent her entire career involved in the IT industry.

Inclusive, local IT communities are her favourite playground and where she facilitates knowledge-sharing platforms, supports user groups and nurtures beginner expertise, while steering clear of buzzwords for a more practical and tangible approach.
