Yesterday’s Bondi Innovation Forum was a fantastic success. Every year since the first one in 2021 has improved to make this a real landmark event.
I haven’t heard the final numbers yet but there were over 100 people in the theatre at Bondi Pavilion and close to 200 online in addition.
It kicked off with Waverley Mayor Paula Masselos emphasising the importance of innovation in the region.
Sophie Renton of McCrindle shared the results of a major survey of Australian attitudes to AI: many are getting value from it, some are cautious about the implications.
OG creative innovator Iain McDonald brought a future frame to AI, focusing on experimenting, failing and learning fast, and putting the customer at the centre.
A panel on AI in marketing and advertising dug into the potential, including many specific aspects of how AI can be put into practice.
A final panel on productivity looked at how AI can bring immediate benefits in creating more value for businesses and customers.
Post-event networking on the terrace overlooking the beach allowed Bondi’s innovators to connect.
