Bondi Innovation believes in the potential of innovation, entrepreneurship and creative business in Bondi region.

We are kicking off again in 2022 after a hiatus post-lockdown and other commitments. We are essentially a not-for-profit with no external support, so we need to design projects that are financially sustainable as well as valuable to the community. There are ample opportunities for that.

Below are the roles we are most interested in talking about. However we are open to all conversations about helping fulfil Bondi Innovation’s mission of creating massive value for the local ecosystem.

Event Director or Manager

We have a range of events we would like to run, including innovation breakfasts in Bondi Junction, an Inspiring Entrepreneur series, and local interest group meetups, with some foundations already in place for each of these. There are many more possibilities.

Ideally we’d like someone who is capable of single-handedly leading successful events, has successfully found event sponsors, has experience in innovation events and is deeply tied into the Sydney entrepreneurial and/or local community. However we’d love to talk to anyone who has significant event planning experience and is passionate about our mission.

Social media/ graphic design

We have a range of social channels that need attention to help engage the local community in what we’re doing. We’re looking for someone with experience in growing social media channels who can also generate quality graphic design for social and events.

Corporate innovation workshops

We are planning a series of one-day innovation workshops for major corporate clients. We are very interested in speaking to anyone who has experience in running, leading or contributing to corporate innovation workshops.

Note that as a young community organisation what we can afford to pay may initially be below market rates, though as you generate value we will certainly pay you what you’re worth, and you will be helping the community and be at the center of a group of highly inspiring innovators. Work is very much part-time so this will suit those who have other work or ventures and want a stimulating portfolio of activities.
